Fan-tasia

 

 

I need a well earned break from crochet I am making a loopy cardigan for a customer will post pictures when complete, anyway on to the beautiful digi from Teri @ http://deliciousdoodleschallenge.blogspot.co.uk/ this is fan-tasia, she has been coloured using a combination of browns and greens with mustard and yellow to finish, the backing papers are by Papermania capsule collection and Kaban Victorian collection, I completed this card with some ribbon from my stock and the embellishments are also cut dies from Kaban Victorian collection.

EVENING ALL.
 Why is it when it comes to talking about yourself you go blank. well here goes, I am 36 year old single mum of 2 boys 4 and 7, I was a learning disability nurse by profession until I was struck down with a rare brain condition causing me to have reoccurring blood clots to the brain resulting strokes. but have to look on the bright side that there is always someone worse off and to pick your self up and carry on.
My close friend has mentioned regularly for about a year that I should try crafting as therapy to relax and help with my dark days. I finally listened and made my first card back at the end of Dec 2012 and have never looked back, this is my little world where I can lose myself in creating new pieces. I then was introduced by a crafting group online to blogging and love to blog hop and enjoy entering challenges, not for winning really to be in awe and inspired by others beautiful creations, I also find challenge topic great for inspiration specially when you think your mojo had stayed in bed. Gothic Bride and Groom

 

I was so inspired by Kay from the design team @ delicious doodles http://deliciousdoodleschallenge.blogspot.co.uk/ card that I had to play with my image for the first time the church windows have been hand drawn and also cut out by hand. as you can see from the above pictures I have tried to keep with the gothic theme and added handmade black flowers made from satin black ribbon with a red gem to finish and some peel offs and gems to complete the doors look

For My Mum

 

Evening Bloggers, sorry not been around much has a bereavement in the family.

This card has been made for my mum who will be celebrating her 65th birthday this Sunday.  Life has taught me to cherish every moment with those you love as you never know when they will be gone.

The digi image was designed by Terri from Delicious Doodles and is a perfect fit for my mums birthday as she adores angels and butterflies. It has been coloured with promarkers and finished with glitter, ribbon butterflies, flowers and other embellishment's from my stash.

Black and White

 

This card has used the Dark Valentine image from Delicious Doodles. I have left the image quite basic as it is such a gorgeous stand alone image, just added some black and red promarkers. with some glitter to the wings for extra sparkle. The image has been topped upon 3 patterned papers, 1 black and white flowers, 1 black and white swirls, and 1 silver glitter. finished with 2 embellishments 1 strip of red ribbon and a silver heart charm for the recipient to keep.
