challenge time over at LOC

Yes its challenge time again over at LOC
and its a water theme, so anything to do with water, mermaids, sea shells, seahorses, fishes, etc...

here is my creation using Delicious doodles
Cancer image

I have used promarkers on the image, i wanted to keep her light as i knew the background would be quite vibrant. the backing paper is some foil i had in my stash, which i crumpled to give the water effect, i cut some thin strips of green card for the reeds, and pearls added to her head and edges finished with "Birthday Fishes" as a sentiment.

challenge 14 over at left of centre

CHALLENGE TIME AGAIN AND THIS FORTNIGHTS CHALLENGE IS NO DEISGNER PAPERS.

So here I have taken some card stock and using a urban stamp stamped the steampunk image all over it. the I slice the middle in a shape of an X to fold the flaps back and make it look like a box. clever hey, I then stamped the image once more cutting it out and placing it in the middle,
coloured using promarkers and silver and gold gel pens, I top the corner with some cog die cuts to finish it off

First time acetate

Well as I decided I wanted to try something new with the masks, I thought why not go the whole hog and try using acetate too

the card has been sprayed with Mister Heuy's Vanilla,  Dark Calico and Warm Calico, using a strip of paper to cover areas I didn't want to spray giving the various shapes and colours, I then embossed the middle strip of the card, taking some natural shoe polish and ultra fine gold glitter, and using my finger rub the polish with just a touch of glitter over small areas, giving it a shiny appearance, I then used Vintage stamp in black, finishing it off with a metal cog.

Masking it up

I have decided to try something new. there is an amazing mother of three who has just started out making masks.. not only are her designs to die for they are so affordable to. you can find her here https://www.facebook.com/pages/Sams-Masks-and-stencils/165167530337116

For this I have used Mister Heuy's mist in Taxi, topped with Spiced Marmalade distress ink. I then took radiant rains Red Pearl and painted the lines down the edge of the sunset. finishing with versa colour Pheony ink for the flower sprays..

Fall Colours

Well that's the school holidays over and after next week I will be child free during the day.. :) big smiles means more time to play.. although I have been quite absent for a while I have been quite busy behind the scene's what with trying to keep to children with learning disabilities from bordem I have been design some wedding stationary for a very special lady who is having a wedding around the charity that has not only supported her through her traumatic years, as been a family too, so the couple are giving the whole wedding over to the charity and hoping to raise lots of pennies to keep them open.

well on to this creation, I absolutely LOVE fall colours and autumn is one of my favourite times of the year, special as the trees change to the lovely, yellows, oranges and darker greens. so I have made this Christmas card using the fabulous tattered lace dies, and matching ribbons from my stash.
